Intensive Courses
With pass rates 25% above the national average you have more than a average chance of passing your test with us.
Intensive courses don't suit everybody and it is fair to say that a course lasting 5 to 15 weeks gives you a better grounding in safe driving for life. But we recognise that life isn't always that easy and some people find themselves in a situation which requires them to learn to drive as soon as possible. It may be that there is a promotion coming up at work but you need to drive to stand any chance of getting it. So, who can you trust to get you through the driving test as soon as possible with the highest possibility of passing?
Here at Iscal, we have been teaching people to drive for more years than we care to mention - oh, alright then - 24 years!! We have helped hundreds of people pass their tests. Many of them have passed using a fast track method.
Obviously, there are a variety of things to think about:
First - Be truthful with yourself! Are you up to sitting in a car for hours on end learning a new subject? How do you feel on a long journey? Do you have the time, commitment and funds to take on an intensive course? If you are unsure don't fast track, give yourself more time.
Second - Know what is entailed. Intensive courses are not the easy option - far from it. You will have to work twice as hard than those going the slower route. Think of a 3 year degree course and then try thinking about doing it in 6 months!! That is what you are about to embark upon.
Third - If you are thinking about an intensive course the first step you must take is to have an assessment lesson with one of our instructors. This is so important. It gives you and the instructor a chance to see where you are in your training and how much work is still needed to do. It is absolutely pointless to tell an instructor "I have had 50 hours - just need to pass my test". Then to find out that the 50 hours you have had turn out to be with out-dated friends and family or even driving instructor! (By the way, if this is the case - don't be suprised if your instructor has to take you back to basics again - you need to be up to date to pass your test)
Fourth - The reason you want an intensive course. Is it because you need to drive before a particular date or is it because you learn better when you can do the learning quickly without boredom? The reason I have asked this question is simple. If you need to drive before a particular date then I hope you have already taken (and passed) your theory test because without that hurdle overcome then we are unable to book the driving test. The waiting list for a driving test is about 8 weeks!! Having said that there maybe a possibility of a short notice test.
Well, as you can see there is a lot to think about. Be prepared is the motto.
